Early Registration for May
Registration opens for everyone else tomorrow (the 15th) at 7am, so take advantage of this early registration period if you want to snag your spot for May.
After you book, MAKE SURE YOU CAN FIND YOUR REGISTRATION EMAIL. In that email, under the section “Messages” is all your class info as well as the Member Page link for May. You’ll need to be able to find it to know all that’s happening for the month, the door code, practice times, free meetups/socials, studio news….everything.
Suggestion: Consider some of our free meetups to hang out, learn a thing, and just connect. We’ll be having a potluck as well as a free coffee talk on underglaze monoprinting (surface technique that works for handbuilding and the wheel) in May. Check out the full info on the May Member Page (link in your confirmation email)

May Wheel workshop: Fix your throwing
Saturday, May 23rd from 11am to 2pm, taught by Rob (the owner)
If it’s in your budget, I’d highly recommend taking this month’s workshop on the wheel. It’s our all-in-one, holy sh*t I feel overwhelmed and this is really hard and I *maybe* know absolutely nothing (?)class. If you’re struggling with centering, pulling, or really any part of the throwing process, this will set you back on track. It’s only $35 for a 3-hour workshop to make sure you’re feeling confident, and get all your questions answered. Like “how come when I try to make a mug, it always comes out a bowl?” and other mysteries of the wheel.
Beginning Classes for wheel & handbuilding
Beginning wheel cups & mugs, sunday nights
Perfect for anyone who took the Bowls class and wants to complete the Beginning Wheel Curriculum
Class dates: 4 Sunday nights in May from 7pm to 9pm (on May 3rd, 10th, 17th & 24th). Remember that this class comes with a free studio membership that lasts until the last day of the month and gives you 24/7 studio access via the door code (just check member page for class schedule/parties). This allows you to come in outside of class and practice, which is the ONLY way to get better.
What will I learn?: This class is the second half of the Beginning Wheel curriculum. You’ll be learning how to make cups & mugs - from what’s different in centering and opening, to how to attach handles and shape the body, and how to glaze this shape. You’ll be reviewing some concepts from Bowls to give you a really solid foundation to move on to Advanced Beginner Classes.
