HAVE YOUR BIRTHDAY PARTY @ GOOD DIRT! Our two-hour clay party is the perfect opportunity for your child to have fun with friends and to make a unique, colorful earthenware creation. Instructors will demonstrate a variety of techniques for creating functional or sculptural hand-built projects, and party-goers will make their very own creation and decorate it with colored clay slips. All projects will be finished with a glossy food-safe glaze and fired in our kilns to make a lasting keepsake from your celebration. Great for birthdays! Make your reservations today! (Clay projects will take between an hour and an hour and a half; the remaining time is yours to provide refreshments and celebrate.) SPECIAL WORKSHOPS Good Dirt’s special workshop program provides a fun and affordable backdrop to any event, including parties, parents’ night out, teambuilding programs, bridal parties, sorority functions, and more. No matter what the occasion, Good Dirt has the facilities and instructors to help your group de-stress, get creative, and have fun. Groups of twelve or fewer can try their hands at the potter’s wheel and decorate their creations with colored slips. Our clay handbuilding workshop can accommodate up to three dozen participants (larger groups can come in shifts). Good Dirt instructors will introduce the basic techniques for both forming and embellishment, but projects are left very open-ended to encourage creativity. Workshop fees are $20/participant with a $160 group minimum. All pieces will be coated with a glossy transparent food-safe glaze, fired in our kilns, wrapped and packed for your group leader to collect within two to three weeks.
